Preview: Realbotix Echo — companion humanoid you can reserve now
Preview — not hands-on. We have not met an Echo. Specs and pricing are from Realbotix’s Oct 26, 2026 launch release and order site. Delivery is pegged for second half of 2027.
A companion humanoid with a deposit today
If NEO is about chores, Echo is about conversation, education, and wellness. Realbotix opened reservations with a $199 deposit for a limited first run: 225 Tabletop and 25 Full Body units.
This is a social / companion play — silicone face, lots of languages, cloud AI hooks — not a laundry-folding robot.
Two models, two price tags
From the BusinessWire release and Realbotix.com:
| Model | Price | Size / weight | Motion |
|---|---|---|---|
| Echo Tabletop | $11,950 | 13×13×32 in · ~25 lb | 17 DoF |
| Echo Full Body | $59,950 | 28×28×72 in (female) / 77 in (male) · ~88 lb | 39 DoF upper-body movement |
Deposit: $199 for priority in the first production run. Delivery target: H2 2027.
What Echo is (and is not)
Is: silicone synthetic skin face; 100+ languages; works with ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini; optional Vinci on-device vision (face recognition, gaze, local processing); required app subscription from $19.99/mo; characters including Aria plus new personas.
Is not (maker does not claim): walking / legs as a mobility feature. Full Body is described with fluid upper-body movement. If you need a biped that walks your halls, this is the wrong shortlist — look at 1X NEO or research platforms like Unitree G1.
Privacy note (maker claims)
Realbotix says conversation histories, memories, and Vinci face templates stay local on the robot/device and are not uploaded to Realbotix for ads or training. Cloud AI features still send what those providers need — read the live privacy terms at checkout.
Who Echo is for
People and orgs exploring companion, education, or wellness robots who can wait until 2027 and are comfortable with a deposit plus a monthly app plan. Keep expectations family-safe and practical: this is interaction hardware, not a housekeeper.
